Hi Ya'll

I've used Fedco for last 6 years with no problems. shipping is great and customer service excellent. I did have a little trouble last season with some snap peas and some pumpkin (which I see they 're aware of and willing to make right), I thought I'd shop around. After comparing my list with Johnny's and High Mowing both of which I use, I going back to Fedco for my main order, the prices seem better, it's easier on me to get most of my stuff from one source and the pumpkin trouble could have been my fault. Which leads me to a question.

Can a spaghetti squash and a Connecticut field pumpkin planted by seed on the same day in the next row, cross pollinate and get a hybrid "Spaghetti Pumpkin"? I always thought no, the cross wouldn't express itself until next year when the seeds where saved and planted. A friend of mine says yes, but only with pumpkins and squash.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
have Fun

Thanks to the list for the intro to Jordan.

I have been with Fedco since their start and for years by combining local
orders used the max discount (now 24%); there have also been dividends over
time when they had done well.
Comparing to Jordan, that, plus Fedco paying the freight, about evens  out
the prices for the serious shopper, which I am not since "retirement".

My experience has been that Fedco service has been excellent, the only
mistake,I recall,  was this year when 2 plug flats of cabbage grew up to be
brussels. That has to be a one in the thousands of items delivered here and
points to better accuracy than I can plan on in my own work so they will get
no grief from me.

I consider the organic fettish about Monsanto and the art work interesting
bonuses!

I got a letter from a lightning rod company this morning trying to put
the fear of God in me, but with little success. Lightning seems to
have lost its menace. Compared to what is going on on earth today,
heaven's firebrands are penny fireworks with wet fuses.
