[Market-farming] Pepper?

Regards to the list:
There was an old fellow who had a market garden not far from here and
unfortunately is no longer with us. He sold yellow peppers that were about 6
or 7 inches long, about two inches or so across on the stem end and they
tapered to a blunt point. They were sweet and delicious and I can't think of
the name of them, except it had something to do with Florida. Any ideas?
