[Market-farming] ground squirrels

The best bet I have found with ground squirrels, baring plenty of time
to sit around and shoot them, is to give them an alternative food
source. When I plant corn or direct seed squash, I make piles of corn /
sunflower seeds to distract the squinnies. I have to add more to the
piles until germination or if it rains, but it does seem to keep them
away from the planted stuff.

No, we have not. They have been a headache for us for a long time. They
are very resilient animals and they love cucurbit seeds.
