The thing that blows my mind is that, in the feed industry, corn gluten meal
is used by the truckload as a feed ingredient. Current price looks like
about $550-$600/ton as of today, per

I can't imagine that there aren't enterprising folks bagging off some CGM
for the horticultural trade at prices a lot lower than $1600/ton, but then
maybe they're just charging what the market will bear. I'd tend to make
friends with a local ag dealer and see what I could work out before buying
much of the high-priced stuff.
