[Market-farming] Transplanters

Hi,

I'm looking for a transplanter for next season, possibly 1 row, but 2
rows would be better with easily adjustable offsets so that I can set it
up either centered on the bed or offset so that I can plant on just one
side of the bed. I'm not planning to use plastic and the soil I'll be
planting into is mainly a sandy loam or gravelly loam and one field with
some clay ground. I can use either my Kubota L245H (25hp) or an Allis
Chalmers 180 (70hp) to pull it. I don't have a lot of space for
headlands on my fields, so I'm also looking for something as compact as
possible.

I was initially considering a waterwheel transplanter, but have seen
some used carousel style transplanters listed for less than the new
price of a water-wheel. Since I haven't used either, I curious as to
the strengths/weaknesses of the various style transplanters. Most of
what I will be transplanting is 128-200 cell trays, with some 72s and
50s also.

Andy
