[Market-farming] quality produce in California?

Locally grown produce that has been "put up" either through canning,
dehydrating or cold storage works for us. We'll have a cellar full of
carrots, rutabaga, winter squash, potatoes and other long storing crops.
None of it will be less than 24 hours old but it will be local.

Bill, I agree with you, but at the same time I bet you are having a hard
time growing mangos in Illinois. So some things need to be shipped.
I also do market farming and sell only to wholesale buyers. I harvest
one day and they have it the next. Can't get much fresher than that. Bill
