Why not try OpenOffice? Load up Ubuntu Linux, and you're set.

Subject: [internetworkers] Word Processor for Mouse Hater

Hi Internetworkers,

I have an older relative who was a professional typist for years, and
who complains about using MS Office because she feels forced to
constantly reach for the mouse.

The last program I remember using that wasn't quite as mouse intensive
was Wordperfect. It had a zillion function key commands and came with a
template that you could use to keep from having to mouse all the time.

Does anyone know whether there are any word processing programs around
that are designed to make it easy to write stuff without reaching for
the mouse?

I'm not even sure what a good place to ask for this would be. It would
be even better if it ran on Linux, but we dual-boot to Windows when we
have to.

Thanks,

Scott C.
