Hello Internetworkers:

Great benefits to the one or ones who leads me to that which I seek!!!

I am an independent consultant in the field of organizational development and training. In conjunction with other consultants, I help people in companies become more effective in their work together. I book myself on speaking arrangements (anyone got any good clubs, groups I can speak to about "Taking the Pulse of Your Organization"?), do a free in-person needs assessment (or online needs assessment, once I complete the tool with myhrinfo.com), and then bring in consultants who have specific experience in the exact area of the company's need. Here is where your help comes in:

Ideally, I would like my web site (soon to be at www.rtaconsultsource.com) to have a multiple-search database (perhaps Sequel-driven) so that businesses can find the consultant brokerage/recruiter firms that have consultants that fit their initial criteria (pre needs assessment). In conjunction, I would need an online data entry form for consultants to enter their own information.

I understand the development costs could be high, so I am seeking anyone who knows of a tool like this that already lists people or consultants (not that consultants are not people too...) and allows people to search and find them online.

I will be evaluating monster.com's tool, but do you know of any others? Can anyone talk with me about what building such a database would entail, what type of databases would need to be used, and offer general advice in this area?

It would be much appreciated and has the potential to yield great benefits!
