[Homestead] Crostini

I've been looking at recipes online, but before I make a decision on
what to cook tonight, would anyone like to share a crostini topping idea
with me?
I was in the store the other day and they had 'old' baguettes on sale,
cheaper than I could have made them(4/$100, 18" long!) so I bought some
not really for appetizers but to use the crostini as part of a meal.
Tonight I'm having grilled salmon steaks, roasted cauliflower with
garlic, and fettucini broccoli alfredo. What would kick that up a
notch? I'm thinking something with tomatoes and or peppers....what say ye?
