Hello Bob
>I found this website on another forum . It has an amazing amount of
>information about everything from individual grain sto rabbits to
>you nasme it. It is meant to help in third world countries.
>
> I don't know, yet, just how good all of the information is, but I
>can't imagine a group putting together this enormous amount of free
>information for a waste of time. The first link is to the site.
>The second link is kind of an explanation of the site with different
>links. I'm still trying to figure it out myself...........bobford
Just one man rather than a group, Alex Weir. His idea is to make the
whole library available as a series of 44 downloadable CDs for local
distribution. Travis Hughey also hosts the whole library at his
website, including a lot of pdf's which aren't downloadable from
Alex's site (graphic files, not text):

There's a lot of great information at CD3WD, but it's not easy to
find just what's there, the index gives you a few key words and not
much more, it's difficult to browse.
We made a couple of sub-directories to the CD3WD library that are
easier to access, available at the Journey to Forever Small Farms
Library:
<http://journeytoforever.org/farm_library.html>
Online collections
VITA -- Volunteers in Technical Assistance -- 160 VITA publications
<http://journeytoforever.org/farm_library.html#oncoll>
FAO Better Farming Series -- Series of 44 manuals
<http://journeytoforever.org/farm_library.html#betfarm>
Classic manuals online -- 46 classic books for backyarders,
homesteaders, small farms and tropical development
<http://journeytoforever.org/farm_library.html#classic>
That's only a small part of the CD3WD library, it's worth spending
time there, lots of treasure to find.
HTH - all best
