I couldn;t agree more, there is plenty of blame to go around, but lets face
it. We have
Dodd and Franks, head of the oversight committee saying Fannie Mae and
Freddie Mac
were healthy and needed no changes ( Franks boyfriend was making policy for
Fannie Mae
for years while Franks was a member of the committee supposedly overseeing
them, can
we say conflict of interest???) Clinton pushed his home ownership for
everyone programs
approved by congress and senate, so they share blame for that and now Bush
gets the blame
even though everything put on his desk was approved by 535 other politicians
before he ever
sees it. Doesn't sound right to me.

With all courtesy and respect...

When pointing fingers, don't forget that these past seven years have
been with a Dem controlled House, which is where financial regulation
is supposed to begin, and a Dem controlled Senate. A conservative
Executive (and I don't say he's really conservative) can't do much in
those circumstances, about anything. So get off the "Blame Bush for
everything" bandwagon. You don't like him? Fine. but put blame
squarely where it belongs. With all.
