A lot of places are non-profits.  They have to list all officers AND funding 
sources.  So, for example, you hear that a test of gummy gucky was done by 
university abc.  You get their tax records and you'll find that university 
abc's department xyz applied for and got a grant from Johnson/Johnson.  Then 
you trace back gummy gucky and find out that the company that "invented" it 
is really a subsidiary of Johnson/Johnson.  You now question the results of 
the marvelous findings on gummy gucky and just how safe it really is.

Or, another example, is one of my fav's, H$LDA.  They *say* they do a ton of 
good works and spend their members money promoting d,e and f and you find 
out from the tax records that 90% of their money goes to salaries and 
kickbacks to organizations that promote the sales of memberships in their 
organization.
