That, you did, I did notice that you had held back. I pretty much knew
how you felt, just not to the degree that you felt it.

This is funny to me.
Yes, I was, am, and will be a dog, a bitch, with a bone on this 'Ayers
thing' and with other things. I am a dog with a bone in every aspect of
my life, whether it is digging out every last piece of metal in a burn
pit,(I'll post pictures later in the day) or filling in the gaps in
President Elect Obama's life. If I know all there is to know, I will
respect him more, maybe, hopefully.
As for the the Republicans..1. those aren't campaign holes. Books have
been written about those times, acts, issues. We know a lot about K5,
Troopergate,and McCain's wife's issues. I did not discuss the K5
thing, but I did discuss Troopergate. I even said that I thought Palin
abused her power. That story, IMO, is still coming to light and there is
nothing more to do on it. I consider all of those things 'points of
consideration', not issues to investigate, because in my mind, they have
already been investigated. McCain, in his book, took responsibility for
his actions in the K5 scandal, as well as for his adultery. I despise
adultery, but I respect someone who can say, I did it, this is why(and
not blame their spouse), and I am responsible for hurting a lot of
people. That, to me, is being responsible for one's actions/transgressions.

Race has been discussed ad nauseum on TV for two days.
We have not really discussed it on the list. It is the white elephant
sitting in the corner of the room. We can't we discuss it without
assuming that the other person has some huge racist agenda?
As to the news thing...
Explain to me how lots of black people are getting the message that
Obama will pay my bills, and yet, white people don't think that.
If it were on TV or in print, we, whites, would see it. The 'other
source' of news might, might, be black churches. A different message
may be circulating through the black community than the white community.
That is all I am saying. It may not be from churches, but the idea is
so widespread, it has to be coming from somewhere.

I am angry with Obama for misleading decent

You don't know Rocky, or what he has done in his life. The man has
served his country honorably and now he unselfishly provides care to his
sister. Just because he can't read and believes a message that is
foreign to you doesn't make him an ignorant schmuck. There were
thousands, tens of thousands, of blacks out of work yesterday, believing
that Obama will save them. Are they all ignorant schmucks, too?

All I ask is who is reinforcing this idea? Do they have a separate
news source(I don't BET except for boxing..not even sure if they have a
news program)? Could it be the churches? Could it be university
groups? Could it be in magazines like Ebony or Jet(I don't read them,
but I heard they got seats on Obamas plane at the last minute) Could it
be word of mouth, or internet groups?

I take it that not too many blacks live in upstate NY so perhaps you are
not seeing what I see. That does not make me a bigot for reporting what
I see. You, on the left, the one who has described herself as a flaming
liberal<g>, obviously have a different news source than I do, because I
had not heard anything at all about Trig. As another example, just
yesterday, Gene mentioned that he had not heard anything about the war
in Iraq..when I read that, I thought where the heck has he been?
Multiple stations were talking about troop withdrawals early from Iraq
due to the success of the war, and that for the first time really since
we have been there, we ar winning and making real progress. I saw it on
multiple channels, but Gene apparently did not.
It is a fact that people use different sources for news.

Obviously. And I will do that.

Wow. I'm sorry you think that.
