I keep a running track of my pickup mileage and can tell you what it has
been for 175,000 miles. The last tank before the recent tow was 16.23.
That was driving from where the trailer was parked to the ranch, about 4
miles plus a couple of trips of 6 miles to town for parts and one trip to
visit my mother in Sunnyvale, in all about 183 miles. Over the last month
and a half I have replaced from the rotor tot he plugs, new catalytic
converter, new muffler, new air cleaner, new upper and lower ball joints,
and a front end alignment. Before that typical was about 14.5.

The tow from Hollister was over Pacheco Pass then down I-5 with a moderate
cross wind. At the Buttonwillow fill mileage was 10.21 and the fillup at
$4.139 a gallon was $88.36. I have not filled up since but will have to
today.

One problem I am running into is that the pumps will shut off at $75, the
one in Buttonwillow shut off at $50. Running around town I try to fill
before half a tank.
