I grew tomatoes in the same spot for at least 5 years (closest to the
hydrant and easiest to water), and they did just fine every year. I
don't think I get much in the way of windborne disease here; the only
people growing tomatoes within miles are downwind. Peppers did okay
when planted in the same spot for a long time too.
