Interesting site. A collection of negativity. I have long been
confused by our fixation on negativity, even unto morbidity, the
gawkers at traffic accident sites, the hordes pushing for a glimpse of
the charred remains of the driver. What is it about our species that
focusses so strongly on misfortune? The glib answer is that is how we
gird ourselves against misfortune, by learning as much about it as
possible. But that would require careful study of the circumstances
leading up to the tragic event. No time for that, the bad news media
gives us hourly updates on death and destruction throughout the world;
if not enough can be found locally, then look further until the
columns are full.

I need a Heartwood fix real bad.
