I want more. I want to be an inconspicuous consumer of more, more,
more. More tools, more seeds, more books, more music, more materials
that will last, more redundant water sources, more good roofs, more
wire, nails, bolts, screws, washers, more things that help ensure how
I choose to live no matter how far the world goes toward pure hell.

There is no such thing as too many tools on a homestead. They are as
gold. In tough times they would have high value for trade.

One example, for cutting wood when gas is twenty dollars a gallon and
electricity is costing a dollar per kwh, I want at minimum:

Two-man crosscut saw
One-man crosscut saw
Single-bit axe
Double-bit axe
Splitting maul
Splitting wedges
Bow saw
Buck saw
Pruning saw
Frame saw
Assortment of Japanese saws (cut on the pull stroke)
Woodworking hand saws in both crosscut and ripping teeth and in
various number of teeth configurations, short and long versions,
probably nine saws total
Back saw (miter saw)
Dovetail saw
Tenon saw
Panel saw
Fret saw
Coping saw
Keyhole saw
Compass saw
Hacksaw and many blades
Several drawknives
Froe
Wood rasps of various design
Various files to sharpen all of the above
Various stones for sharpening
Setting hammer

That would total about sixty items.

It's late, my eyes are tired, I am sure I have missed some. I reserve
the right to add to the list.
