[Homestead] Shots or not?

I know one person who had to take the shots. (raccoon bite-- he lived -- said the shots hurt). I also know a woman whose grown son died because he wouldn't go the the dentist with an impacted tooth. The infection moved to his brain -- coma-- then death.
Rabies is at least as serious as an impacted tooth, and foxes are known carriers. Take the shots.........
