Blade hole sizes are different and the typical chop saw blade it 10 in.
Those metal filings can destroy a wood working saw in a hurry.

I forgot to mention, one money saving way to get blades for a chop saw is to
make friends with someone at a welding shop. They use very large cut off
saws but the blades are too small they are just about right for the typical
10 inch chop saw. I was given a pile of them many years ago,

The Sawzall is handy for so many tasks, like you said it is a wonder what we
did without them. Choose the correct blade and you can cut anything. As
for air tools, every time I get one I wonder how I did without it. I have
several air nailers that do more than save my wrist. I can only swing a
hammer for an hour or so before the pain hits but with an air nailer I can
work it all day. Putting together cabinets you soon run out of hands but a
brad nailer takes care of that and a stapler makes fast work of concrete
forms.

I have several tools that fit onto that. An air compressor is so important
I have two. One large 60 gallon for a real shop and a smaller one for here.
As for the reciprocating saw, I also have two. One is the Sawzall which has
helped in may ways. The other is a cordless I picked up when I wanted to
trim some limbs. It is easier and safer than a chain saw.
