Smooth Talker News from Zanoni, Missouri reports that a senior adviser
in the McCain campaign organization, who asked that his name not be
used to protect his livelihood, told reporter Missy Kisswell that
McCain is thinking about moving the Republican Convention to New
Orleans from Minnesota, which, he said, "since Jesse Ventura is out,
really doesn't have much going on besides Garrison Keillor, and he's a
Democrat." He said that as soon as FEMA lights turn green, the
Superdome would be fitted out with the usual banners and champagne
fountains. He said, "It's up to John, of course, but right now he
thinks it's a helluva good way to catch the media, which inexplicably
has begun giving equal time to the Obama campaign."

The adviser also said, after reiterating that the information was
really, really off the record, that contrary to how Rick Davis,
McCain's campaign manager is now spinning it, Cindy McCain is
seriously bent out of shape over her husband's choice of the foxy
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. The senior advisor said that shouting was
heard from the back of the Straight Talk Express on the night the
announcement was made. Snippets of the shouting included ". . . if
you . . . with her . . . your allowance . . . thousand a day . . ."

Smooth Talker News will have an update on this item just as soon as
this afternoon's pizza sauce canning is finished and Missy has cleaned
up the kitchen.
