Uhh. According to the Constitution it only takes a simple majority to pass a measure in either house of congress. It does take 2/3 to overide a veto (which has been rarely used by this President) and should present no problem if both the house and the senate remain democrats with a democrat president. It takes 60 votes (not 2/3) to stop a filibuster in the senate; but filibusters have become increasingly ineffective, anway.

It only takes a simple majority to pass a bill in either the House or the Senate. The democrats, in fact , do, have a voting majority in both the house and senate. ..........love the constitution, like my country, disdainful of the government.....bobford
