[Homestead] Saving asparagus seeds

Once the fruit is red and ripe the seed is ready for collection. Collect 
in a bowl or jar and mash the
fruit up with a wooden spoon and let ferment till a white scum forms 
(3-14 days). Add water and rinse the
goo off. Save seed that doesn't float. I let mine tray dry on a paper plate.

When carefully dried and stored out of direct sunlight seeds will stay 
viable more than 3 years.
