[Homestead] the job and other stuff

I thought I would be starting my new job today, but it looks like it
will be next Monday, so I have a bit of a reprieve. I went and toured
the facility last Friday, and for the first time, I am actually kind of
excited about starting back to work. I think I can shine in this
position, and everyone wants to feel indispensable at work.
I was told that I would need steel toed boots, and luckily, I rummaged
through TJ's stored stuff and found an almost brand new pair of Brahma
boots that will fit me. I'll get some arch supports and it'll be fine.
The second thing I will need is a good, programmable calculator. I
have my trusty home calc, but it is not programmable. It would be nice
to have one with statistical apps pre-loaded. The problem I am having
is finding a calculator that is non-solar(the lab is enclosed and the
calc would probably never see the sun); and I do NOT want a graphing
calculator. Several friends recommended the TI-83+, but it is a
graphing calc and more than I need. I won't need to insert a lot of
programs, but there could be as many as five or six that I would need.
Since I know there are quite a few engineers on the list, can anyone
recommend a decent calculator for my needs? Large buttons would be a
plus as well.
