During the Cedar Fire three years ago, a group of houses along a ridge
burned because there was no water. At one time the area had several deep
wells that supplied more than enough water for the horse and cattle ranches
in the area. Then the indians built a casino and bored several
wells. Still there was enough water, not as much but enough. They the
indians built a huge resort with a huge golf course. They drilled several
more wells and the wells on the ridge went dry as well as several of the
expensive new wells. Now those deeper wells are starting to run dry so
they are trying to push through some obscure rules that will give them
access to a San Diego City reservoir
