Chicago Tribune | Generational gap on Social Security plan
<http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/chi-0502050179feb05,1,6101418.story?coll=chi-business-hed>
The president is asking Congress to allow Americans born since 1950 to
start investing as much as 4 percent of their Social Security payroll
tax in the stocks and bonds of a government-managed Thrift Savings Plan
for federal employees.
I have not heard this mentioned before from any other source---The
Thrift Savings Plan for Federal Employees works pretty well---unlike the
Chile Social Security System, it does not rip off 40% for management fees.
