[Homestead] Oil leaks; use thicker oil?

Going to a straight grade 30 wt will help a little but it will be little.

As for where the leaks are, I would suggest checking the seal around the 
front pulley.  Another place to check is the valve cover gasket and the 
front cover.  Take it to a car wash and clean the engine then drive for a 
while then find a dusty road.  Most leaks will be clearly evident.  How 
much oil is it using?

Also follow the car down the road.  Does it smoke on take off, when first 
started, at idle?  Does it smoke on a long off throttle down grade or just 
when getting on the throttle at the end?
