Warren volunteered :
> I think Ramen noodle soup packs are still 5 for a dollar, unless George Bush
has raised the price. Basically bouillon and noodles, it makes a good base
to which you can add meat.

And potatoes - in chunks - and throw out
half the chunks that will have absorbed at
least some of the sodium that makes all
packaged food so tasty. I am serious
about this - you can also counter the
overload of salt-and-preservatives
somewhat if you *faithfully* eat a
banana-a-day. That 'presentation' of
potassium has worked to lessen and
even control the ankle-swelling I am
subject to because one of my 'comfort
foods' is packaged Polish sausage ....

> Also, you will be pleasantly surprised by the new MRE's that can be bought from an army surplus store. They even come with cool little devices by which they can be cooked. The bonus book of damp-proof matches that comes in every pack is a plus.

Thanks for *that* tip, Warren, it's been
years since I was in one of those stores ....

> I miss the little four packs of Marlboros that tasted and smelled like formaldehyde. (President Bush made them take the cigs out).

I guess his "Jesus" didn't smoke and he
doesn't want to taint the bodies - never mind ...
