In chapter three of his book, The Kingdom in Mark, Werner Kelber details the
movements of Jesus and his disciples in the Sea Crossing section (Mark
4:35-8:21). Kelber's itinerary of the sea crossings is determined solely by
Mark's use of EIS TO PERAN and DIAPERAW, independent of other narrative
markers in the text. Elizabeth Struthers Malbon critiques Kelber's itinerary
in "The Jesus of Mark and the Sea of Galilee" and offers a better approach
to determing the movements of Jesus and his disciples in this section. Most
of the itineraries that I have come across agree with Malbon's itinerary.
Does anyone, however, know of any commentators/scholars whose itinerary
matches Kelber's?

Sincerely,
J. Ted Blakley
