I would think that any list of important German commentaries on Mark would
have to also include Joachim Gnilka, Das Evangelium nach Markus, 2. Tlb.,
EKK, hrsg. Josef Blank, et al. Zurich: Benziger Verlag und Neukirchener
Verlag, 1978, 1979. Also useful is Dieter Luhrmann, Das Markusevangelium,
HNT, hrsg. Andreas Lindemann, 3. Tubingen: J. C. B. Mohr (Paul Siebeck),
1987.

Subject: [gmark] German (& French) comm. on Mark
Early in the existence of this list there was a brief thread on
commentaries on Mark's gospel. So far as I recall (& can find in the
archive), all those noted were in English. If one steps outside that
category, what are the most significant, relatively recent (say, last 25
years), *exegetical* commentaries on Mark by Continental scholars--esp.
German, and perhaps French?
