[freetds] cannot connect with tsql

Hello Igor,
I removed the ip address from the log file as it is a production  
machine and i would prefer not to have its ip address posted on a  
publicly accessible page which this mailing list is.

so yes the raw log file did have the ip address listed where "[ip  
address removed]" is.
and i am rather sure it is listening on port 5000 i can telnet into  
that port and it connects then disconnects with this output:

Escape character is '^]'.
Connection closed by foreign host.

so it looks like the port is open.
