Hi
We are currently using freeTDS (together with a python/sybase module) to connect Netcool on a number of platforms (Win XP, Centos 3 and 4, and Solaris) - you will certainly need to set the TDS version to 5.0 - but also take a look at the changes in the ftds-nco-0.63.patch that's available at
http://netcoolusers.org/Downloads
We're still using 0.63 - but the patch changes should be easily applicable to 0.65
Regards

(I suggest you update your snapshot.)

Looks like a login failure:

Normal servers return a login error message. Perhaps yours doesn't, or
perhaps it doesn't accept TDS 4.2 connections. You might try 5.0 instead.
Otherwise from all appearances the account you're using is not allowed to
log in to that server.
