[freetds] problem with FreeTDS compiling with PHP 5

Rusty,

On my old slackware box the apachectl script appears to kill -HUP on
restart.

Have a look in /lib. Is everything world executable? I don't have
TDS+Linux+php to hand at the moment to compare. Anyone out there able
to help?

Rob.

Hello!

I am not restarting with kill -HUP, I am just running the restart
script.

In the script, it does have the user 'apache' and group 'apache'. I
wondered the
same thing you did, and tried changing it to root (which bombed, unless
I wanted
to comment out things that would open apache up like swiss cheese) or
the user
that I am running everything else as, which failed too.

How would I start things to remedy this?

Thanks!

R
