[freetds] Quoted Identifiers and TDS 4.2/7.0

Hi,

I am working on setting up a Debian 3.1 box that uses FreeTDS to connect
to a Microsoft SQL 7.0 server.
http://www.freetds.org/userguide/choosingtdsprotocol.htm recommends
using TDS version 7.0. This sounds good except for the fact that, when
using TDS 7.0, it appears that quoted identifiers default to on (more
details: http://lists.ibiblio.org/pipermail/freetds/2003q2/013103.html).
We need to have quoted identifiers set to off.

Is there any way to use FreeTDS/TDS 7.0 and set quoted identifiers to
off either in freetds.conf or in some kind of start up SQL script run by
FreeTDS? If not, we'll need to use TDS 4.2 and keep in mind the
limitations it imposes
(http://www.freetds.org/userguide/choosingtdsprotocol.htm).

Thank you,
Ben
