Hi Jim,
Thanks for writing.
What the PHP section needs is someone with PHP experience who can write in
plain English and who has the time and inclination to contribute to it.
There are a few PHP-knowlegeable people on this list, but no one's been
foolish enough ^W^W willing to update the UG. I myself don't use PHP,
which might explain why that part of the UG sounds like it was translated
from the French based on the original Latin.
I'd be delighted to apply your DocBook patches, or even to adapt plain
prose in plaintext. And I'm sure your fellow PHPers would be better
served, maybe even grateful. Plus, you know, you get the credit and
commensurate royalties. ;-)
