Glad you like.  I'll add it to the faq, too.

Not really.  We probably just need links to their site and ML.

GNU recommends that each year appear in the copyright (1998, 1999, 2000,
etc.)  I think we should tack on a new year whenever we notice that it's out
of date.  Maybe I'll add something more-or-less automatic to my commit
script....

New work belongs to the author.  Extensive additional work warrants adding a
name to the copyright.  

Something nonlegal we don't do well: we don't have a THANKS file.  We get
patches from people who don't contribute regularly, and our only
acknowledgment is (maybe) in the ChangeLog, which may get truncated from
time to time.
