./configure freetds error

Hi Bob,
this doesn't seem to be freeTDS related; it seems your system is somehow
misconfigured. Please post the output of the following commands:
[1] ls -l $SHELL
[2] ls -ld . (on the dir you're trying to compile freeTDS)
[3] ls -l configure (same)
[4] head configure (same)
As a side note, what was the command used to unpack the sources?
