Another hint on CVS via sourceforge ... if you send them your host
public key you can avoid having to enter a password.
% scp .ssh/identity.pub \
jklowden at cvs.freetds.sourceforge.net:.ssh/authorized_keys
If you have no .ssh/identity.pub, use ssh-keygen.
Of course, if you have keys already listed, append to them.
Keep your host private key secure.
This is relevant to ssh protocol version one only. Using version two
needs different file names. identity.pub becomes id_???.pub and
authorized_keys becomes authorized_keys2. Pity they can't spell
authorised correctly. ;-)
