Did you add the freetds library path to the ld.so.conf file and run ldconfig?

Subject: [freetds] symbol g_tds_err_handler: referenced symbol not found
I use FreeTDS 0.51 on Solaris 7 with Apache 1.3.14 and PHP 4.0.4pl1 where PHP is installed with Apache as a DSO module. I can successfully compiled FreeTDS but when I try to start Apache, it quits with an error message like "symbol g_tds_err_handler: referenced symbol not found". I am sure I had /user/local/freetds/lib in my LD_LIBRARY_PATH and LD_RUN_PATH.
There was a message in this mailing list in early January asking a similar question but it seems not answered. Is there fix now? I would appreciate any advice.
