[Commons-research] Appreciative Research Dialogue

I think this is a good idea. The exact shape and length of the workshop will be naturally determined after we examine how many submissions we get and of what quality.
So, for the time being I would be keen to add a discussion session on research directions, along the lines of what you proposed, but a bit scaled down so that it does not have to take up an entire day. To some extent, the research presentations themselves should hopefully give everybody an idea about possible future research directions, but dedicating a couple of hours to a discussion with possible breakout sessions per topic to identify new directions would add value I believe.

Hi all,
Thanks Giorgos for getting this discussion started and to those who have
made suggestions already.
I recommend reducing presentation time and emphasising interaction time
- /so seldom do we have opportunities to share knowledge through
dialogue with a wide diversity of people and perspectives/.
Please may we re-consider this suggestion for one of the days:

First proposed here on the wiki:

Thanks

> Hello everyone and welcome to the commons-research mailing list! I saw that already many have subscribed to the list, so now I'm looking forward to having some lively discussions on our plans for hosting a research workshop at the iSummit as well as on any issue that you believe may be of interest to academics and researchers. I have also noticed that there are still many notable academics missing from this list, so please spread the word in your circles and organizations and encourage others to subscribe and participate.
