The Pinhook Bar
117 Main St., Downtown Durham
(the Pinhook's first officially official event!)
November 1, 2008 - 8pm
A multi-arts extravaganza at a place you can get a drink!
Artist Jim Kellough and Triangle Soundpainting Orchestra present an
expanded cinema performance featuring live music to accompany
projected imagery on a giant screen. The imagery, called WINKY, uses 6
slide projectors - special effects that merge the images into a large-
scale photomontage that moves and =93winks=94. A =93soundtrack=94 will be
performed in real time by Triangle Soundpainting Orchestra, an 11
piece acoustic ensemble composed of a variety of wind, reed, string,
and percussion instrumentalists.
Click on the link below to here a sample of the strange and seemingly
impossible variety of sounds the Triangle Soundpainting Orchestra
creates at any given performance.
Wendy Spitzer - oboe
Jay Carwright - accordian
Juditta Musette - voice and percussion
Stuart Somer - piano
Douglas Vuncannon - double bass
Chris Eubank - cello
John Barrile - ukelele
Katherine Gill - violin
Shannon Morrow - percussion
Bendte Fagge - flute
Free, but buy a drink and make a donation to the band if you can!!!
