As if there isn't enough to do Saturday nite! This is the first
officially official event at The Pinhook Bar in downtown Durham, and
it's early, so hopefully you can make it....
!!!Winky!!!
(a twinkling visual spectacle otherwise known as Post Election Brain
Drain)
and
Triangle Soundpainting Orchestra
(www.myspace.com/trianglesoundpaintingorchestra)
at
The Pinhook Bar
117 Main St., Downtown Durham
(the Pinhook's first officially official event!)
November 1, 2008 - 8pm
A multi-arts extravaganza at a place you can get a drink!
Finally!
Artist Jim Kellough and Triangle Soundpainting Orchestra present an
expanded cinema performance featuring live music to accompany
projected imagery on a giant screen. The imagery, called WINKY, uses 6
slide projectors - special effects that merge the images into a large-
scale photomontage that moves and =93winks=94. A =93soundtrack=94 will be
performed in real time by Triangle Soundpainting Orchestra, an 11
piece acoustic ensemble composed of a variety of wind, reed, string,
and percussion instrumentalists.
Click on the link below to here a sample of the strange and seemingly
impossible variety of sounds the Triangle Soundpainting Orchestra
creates at any given performance.
