WINKY and Triangle Soundpainting Orchestra
at
The Pinhook 117 Main St., Downtown Durham

This is the Pinhook's first scheduled event - please help us fill up
the place - we are so grateful to be part of the opening weekend of
this much needed downtown Durham space!

Artist Jim Kellough and composer Shannon Morrow present an expanded
cinema performance featuring live music to accompany projected imagery
on a giant screen. The imagery, called WINKY, uses 6 slide projectors
- special effects that merge the images into a large-scale
photomontage that moves and =93winks=94. A =93soundtrack=94 will be
performed in real time by Triangle Soundpainting Orchestra, an 11
piece acoustic ensemble composed of a variety of wind, reed, string,
and percussion instrumentalists. We make strange and seemingly
impossible combinations of sounds for any occasion.
