Finding good music in Chapel Hill

yeah, i found it pretty funny (as in peculiar) that the initial post
was relatively quickly replied to (with an "I agree, but check out
Mansion462" post, no less) by chapelhillshredder, which seemed
suspiciously close to chapelhillguitarist, of february flame fame.
nevertheless, it's nice that everyone so politely rec'd their faves,
so that any actual new-to-towners or local-music-newbies can use the
thread as a reference in their explorations, much as I often use
similar threads at chow.com. And ross has great posts in both venues.
if anyone is still harboring ill will towards chapelhillguitarist, my
guess is that his/her identity might be uncovered by a visit to the
open mike at mansion...
