"Patches" by Clarence Carter. When that "flood came and washed all the
crops away", and at the age of 13 he "was standing there carrying the
weight of the whole wide world on his shoulders". Oh man, I shed tears
every time I listen.
And fuck all y'all if you think I'm being facetious or "ironic" -- I
don't play 'round with my love for Patches.
