Rock for Reproductive Rights: A Benefit for Ipas Featuring
TRES CHICAS
Saturday, December 17th
8:00 pm
ArtsCenter
Back from a European tour where they recorded a new album and wowed
another continent, Lynn Blakey, Caitlin Cary, and Tonya Lamm are home in
North Carolina. With an emphasis on harmony singing, TRES CHICAS perform
original songs and choice covers. The Los Angeles Daily News said they
"join together to create some of the sweetest (but never saccharine)
country rock ever." Tonight, they play to benefit Ipas, a Chapel
Hill-based non-profit that works to protect women's reproductive health
and rights around the world. Ipas believes that no woman should have to
risk her life or health for lack of safe reproductive choices. For more
information visit www.ipas.org. $15, $12 ArtsCenter Friends.
