From jason.miles-campbell at strath.ac.uk Thu Oct 29 08:04:36 2009 From: jason.miles-campbell at strath.ac.uk (Jason Miles-Campbell) Date: Thu, 29 Oct 2009 12:04:36 +0000 Subject: [Cc-uk] Attribution-Non-Commercial-No Derivative Works 2.0 UK: England & Wales - legal text query Message-ID: Hi, I note that in the text of the Attribution-Non-Commercial-No Derivative Works 2.0 UK: England & Wales CC licence, the second paragraph under 'Licence' states: "This Creative Commons England and Wales Public Licence enables You (all capitalised terms defined below) to view, edit, modify, translate and distribute Works worldwide for Non-Commercial purposes under the terms of this Licence, provided that You credit the Original Author." (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.0/uk/legalcode) Of course, as a non-derivative licence, it does not allow editing, modification or translation of the material - has this paragraph been wrongly copied over from the Attribution - Non-Commercial 2.0 England and Wales licence, or am I missing something (a distinct possibility)? Thanks for spotting it Jason. We are now in the process of upgrading the licences and a draft of v.3.0 should be out within the next couple of months.
