Those involved in CC-NZ and with an interest in the heritage sector
might be interested in a recently released report from the Eduserv
Foundation:

Snapshot study on the use of open content licences in the UK cultural
heritage sector
http://www.eduserv.ac.uk/upload/foundation/studies/cc2007/final.pdf

Of ~100 organisations responding to a web-based survey, most had digital
content online (usually images and text). 59 respondents were aware of
Creative Archive or Creative Commons, but only 10 were using a CA or CC
licence for some of their content. Another 12 have plans to use a CA or
CC licence in the future, and 29 respondents were assessing (informally
or formally) the impact of making content available using open content
licenses so hopefully that means the ball is rolling, if a little more
slowly than many would like...

CC-UK licenses were launched 2 years ago, so this level of awareness and
usage might be an interesting benchmark as we move forwards.

Cheers
Sam
