Assuming that by software you mean programs[1], I disagree with you in
this respect.  Source code is needed to fully enjoy the relevant
freedoms with every kind of work (program code, documentation, audio,
video, literature, ...).

But this is really another debate, so let's avoid going OT, and stop
here...
