Dearest everyone..

I sincerely hope this is the place for such queries..

I'm working for a multimedia product/solutions company. We are planning to have
a community portal where, we would be having normal portal stuffs like industry
related news and public discussion forums.

We would also like to have some sort of showcase gallery featuring the works of
our patrons/customers (preferably our own customers using our own products ;-).
This gallery will be populated by our portal patrons by having them uploading
their stuffs themselves.

Talking about the gallery, my intention is that, all uploaders will have their
works will be protected by Creative Common's Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.0.

What concern's me is the clause 'Any of these conditions can be waived if you
get permission from the copyright holder'. Can I specify to my uploaders that
by uploading, they gave permission to us, the webportal people the right to use
their works in these two areas..

1. In promoting our web portal

Say for example, the uploads are image graphic files. We would like to tell
others that our web portal promotes talents who can do such works of art,
example will be the attached .png file...

2. If developed using our products/solutions, to promote our said products/solutions

In case of product, we would like to tell our potential clients that such works
of art are being produced by using our products, example will be the attached
.png file...

I hope I got the explanation correct.. I would like to request for comments and
advice will be greatly appreciated!

Sincere regards and thanks!
