If your video-based seminars are already licensed under a Creative Commons license then you're already participating in the open education movement! Could you send a link to your seminars? I'd love to check them out. BTW, the ability to remix, translate, and/or revise is something that the No Derivatives term prevents. You might find you'll get more bang for your buck if you drop that term from your work. Here's a good article describing CC licenses, their terms, and their use in education: http://www.informaworld.com/smpp/section?content=a909092757&fulltext=713240928 -Andy On Wed, Mar 11, 2009 at 9:00 AM, Tom Sparks wrote: > > Can ccLearn be used for video based-seminars that are also under > cc-by-nc-nd? > > > tom_a_sparks > > Please avoid sending me Word or PowerPoint attachments. > See http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/no-word-attachments.html > > > Stay connected to the people that matter most with a smarter inbox. > Take a look http://au.docs.yahoo.com/mail/smarterinbox > _______________________________________________ > cc-Learn mailing list > cc-Learn at lists.ibiblio.org > http://lists.ibiblio.org/mailman/listinfo/cc-learn > -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Creative Commons licenses (such as BY-NC-ND) can be used to license any copyrightable medium. Video is one of these mediums, as are lecture notes, syllabi, podcasts, etc. ccLearn is simply the education division, or program, of Creative Commons that is involved in promoting these types of openly licensed educational resources. Hope that addresses the issue!
