am thinking about whether we should put hk into the name...
if it is ³Ð·N¦@¥Î(»´ä), can we make a abbreviation as ³Ð¥Î»´ä?

>> I look forward to seeing all of you tomorrow. Please note that Pindar has
>> outlined the following voting process:
>> ---
>> Two items will be put to vote at this meeting aiming at a final selection.
>> This will follow the Olympic City process:
>> After decision on whether ballots are to be public/private -
>> (a) ballot goes through as many voting rounds as required until there are
>> only two alternatives at the last round,
>> (b) alternative with the least vote at each round is discarded,
>> (c) those who cannot attend the June meeting can indicate their
>> preferences by email, marking 1st, 2nd, 3rd Preferences
>> (d) in case of a tie, the Chair has the casting vote.
>> -----
>> Please e-mail your preferences if you cannot attend in person.
>> Here is what the wiki currently says about the versions of the name which
>> the Exco has been discussing so far:
>> »´ä³Ð·N¡]§@¡^¦@¨É¡]¥Î¡^
>> Thus the top choices (with or without »´ä at the front) include the
>> following combinations:
>> ³Ð·N¦@¨É - "creativity sharing"
>> ³Ð§@¦@¨É - "creation/creative work sharing"
>> ³Ð·N¦@¥Î - "creativity commons/public use"
>> ³Ð§@¦@¥Î - "creation/creative work commons/public use"
>>
>> For reference, the Taiwan name is³Ð¥ÎCC, while mainland China has
>> adoptedª¾ÃѦ@¨É@¤¤°ê¡C(Though I believe they do not use @¤¤°ê in their licenses, it's
>> just ª¾ÃѦ@¨É) The Taiwan name literally means "Create, Use CC"; the mainland
>> name is literally "Knowledge Sharing @ China"
>>
>> There is an alternative mainland name, ³Ð§@¦@¥Î, which was adopted by Isaac
>> Mao and the CNblog community before the anointment of the current official
>> CC China mainland team. That name can be found on the creativecommons.cnwebsite which was created by the CNblog community. There is a somewhat
>> bitter history surrounding the fact that there are two groups and two names.
>> I will not go into that here. The CCHK exco would like to maintain good
>> relations with both the official CC China mainland project as well as the
>> CNblog grassroots community and is not interested in picking sides.
>>
>> Nobody on the Exco or other people we spoke with in the community were
>> especially thrilled with either the Taiwan or the official mainland China
>> name, feeling that neither would be appropriate for the Hong Kong user
>> community.
>>
>> There is still some question about whether we should adopt a Chinese name
>> at all - CC International is concerned that two official Chinese names (and
>> one unofficial Chinese name) for CC are already confusing enough. There is
>> concern that yet another name adopted by CCHK would create even more
>> confusion among users on the Chinese speaking Internet. At the same time,
>> Oiwan has pointed out that having a good Chinese name will help with local
>> adoption of the CC license in HK and avoid confusion with other media in
>> Hong Kong already using cc (with other meanings) in their names or URL's.
>>
>> Thanks for considering these issues seriously. We look forward to your
>> views and your votes on Tuesday night. If you can't come please e-mail your
>> top 3 preferences, or let us know any other ideas you have.
>>
>> Best,
>> Rebecca
